Andy Warhol has been a favourite artist of mine since I saw his work as a young child in N.Y. Then, later, actually only about a decade ago, I find out most of his work was tracing and silk screening. At first, I was a tad disappointed that his work was not freehand. Then I met a few other artists that I admire, whom confided that they, too, would sometimes trace to save time.... And, so, for some of my early works, and future pieces, for sure! -I have the digital roughs for inspiration - I have traced, and will trace.
I got you? Where? Did I remember to wash my hands first?
I appreciate Warhol for his uncompromising take on life - "Fuckit". LOL Beyond that, I'm not much of a fan - but that first bit is very much a series of points in his favor, IMO. His art (or Pollack, or the like) I could do without, personally. *shrug*
Even my fractals I try to find paredolia - random noise that sorta looks like something. Or at least a form of symmetry or the like. *shrug*
I miss having friends sit in my lap, too. I don't sit in many peoples' laps, lest I break them. The occasionally-termed "DeathSit".
