Some say she was reckless
That she drove too fast
But I knew that razors edge she was runnin'

For I ran down that road too
And, where others found only reason to deride
I stood on the battlegrounds cheering her on

Not everyone can hit break-neck speeds and survive
Even fewer can swim the gutter
And still crawl out Clean
