SnowboundWinter-
all the world is sleeping
gray skies and barren earth
heart and home,
warming hearth.

Witching Hour StrollAs night draws near
I feel the day slip away
like sand on the ocean floor

Candles upon sills sit
the amber glow of home
whilst I outside but wait

Curtains drawn tight
child curled up to wait
dreams dancing, promising day

I embrace the moment
only to have it fade
to a portrait in my mind

I walk in shadow
weighted by ghosts of the past
memories that chide me

Lush vines of jasmine
fill air with heavy scent
mocking my worn heart

Lumbering through the hours
I lament death
the day’s and mine

The night grows weak
the day returns strong
while I away the hours spent

Dread and fear and longing
compounded with night
grow w

Drowning In FireWater drips from the faucet
The seconds tick by on my clock
Eyes closed, I wait
Patience is the key, I’m told
While my mind wanders
And my flesh burns
Voice held silent
Tongue firmly held in teeth
My arms wrapped around only me
I think, hope, and dream
Of what maybe
All the while praying and weeping
For all I have yet to see
The feel of you
The taste and heat of us
No longer dreaming and pining
No longer adrift and dying
I want to lay with you
To see your eyes aflame
Filled with desire
To hear the desperate howl
That I might provoke in you
I want to reach the heights of passion
To stand within the soothing heat
I

CocoonAll along the path I walk,
I find I seek the same,
As my ancestors sought;
bright and beautiful.
I am craving a wave of time,
Not assured to be mine,
For why should I have,
What my past did not?
But that is what I am working for;
from caterpillar to butterfly.

Look CloselyDo not be wooed by me or my words
They are as trivial as you
racing through the day
every minute in vain.

Do I have something to say
Or am I wasting words and breath
Do I deceive myself of the truth
for pleasures sake

What heart have I to give
When it’s an illusion of shards
Am I whole am I real
Will it matter when I’m dead

Is it the image or the love
that matters when left behind
Is it the today I should seek
Or that tomorrow I might never meet

something a bit esoteric about this. or at least thats what i feel. a bit like chakras in a circle rather than a line or something. or the tree of life?

It's a version of the mapping of the seven heavens... without the halls. It's an interesting exploration of geometry and mathematics.

it's funny. the more I study the layout of the heavens, the more it looks like an atom. ooooooo... horton hears a who and, as I have always suspected, it is we who are the who.
